After Kaya built her first bakery, Hopscotch, from humble mason jar cakes at an Illinois farmers market into a beloved Champaign neighborhood institution, this family of five decided it was time for a new adventure. So they sold the bakery, packed up their three kids, and headed west to Kaya's hometown of Boise, where they did what any reasonable people would do: bought a building at 802 N. Garden on the Boise Bench while still sitting in their U-Haul. While their main Dusty Miller location undergoes construction, they've opened Dusty Miller Goods to bring Boise their signature blend of unique vibes, Kaya's irresistible pastries and treats, and house milled flours sourced from the best grains Idaho and the Northwest have to offer. Because when life gives you grain, you mill it yourself.
